19 FOOT TRIO

19 Foot Trio is a creative collective drawn together by expansive LA-based bassist, Tim Lefebvre (David Bowie’s Blackstar and Tedeshi Trucks Band’s Let Me Get By).

Their first release, Into The Cosmos Vol. I & II, contains 24 tracks of improvisational and structured compositions recorded live in the studio. Covers of King Crimson’s Frame By Frame, Neil Young’s Tell Me Why, and Human League’s Don’t You Want Me complete the odyssey.

Ambient, alternate-tuned guitars with mandolin are handled by Portland-based, Cameron Morgan (Brian Blade’s Mama Rosa, Gino Vannelli, Banyan, Mass Ensemble).

Rounding out the trio is the energetic and exacting timekeeper, Adam Gust, LA-based music producer and session man at Gigantor Studios.

Into The Cosmos highlights include trips through varying slices of electronica: Predator, Sci-Fi. Cinematic western and TV spy themes: Spaghetti Eastern, Funions. The spirited: Play Defense, No Look Pass. Uplifting indie rock: NYC Anthem, Emo. ECM textured jazz: Sunspots, Airports. Blues gyrations: Not Goin’ Back, Boogie Man. Brooding dark heavy rock: Sabbath, Lockdown. Jam band explorations: Seeker, Bilbo.

Think futuristic soundtrack to a Quentin Tarantino film shot at Burning Man wrapped in a singular sound.
